I've got a few Etsy finds I would like to brag about. I like my handmade soaps and my iPhone cases. Lets start with Gadget Armour.

Gadget Armour provides Padded sleeves for your iPhone or iPod Classic and iTouch. Most Etsy seller make these without padding and I really prefer light padding since I also want to protect my iPhone. Now, let's talk handmade soap. OMG...I love these two Etsy sellers. By far my favorite soap sellers on Etsy. Dennis Anderson makes awsome soap. Many people say the handmade soaps do not lather well but I assure you, Dennis Anderson has the best lathering soap on Etsy. He also makes a beer soap for the men in your life. Finally, there is Savor Soap. I must say, she has amazing fragrances for her soap. I am not a food scent person but more of a floral girl. My favorite is Princess Bride. Keep your Dog Cool this Summer

I just wanted to post a few tips to keep your dog cool this summer. We don't realize how hot our pets can become.

Always provide fresh water. We take a couple bottles of water on our walk, even the short ones. We also carry along a collapsible bowl.
Walk early in the morning or later in the evening when the temperatures have come down a little. Our dogs like to take their naps during the day anyway.
Walk in the shade and on grass to avoid the hot concrete. Don't wanna hurt your pups feet.
Don't ever leave your dog in a hot car. The temperatures in a hot car can cause injury and or death.

You can also purchase a cool coat or similar to help keep him cool.

Keep your pet's safety first and enjoy the summer!

LEATHER Camera Straps

We have just began making leather camera straps. We use a super soft and flexible oil tanned leather and line those with either Minky or Suede for the ultimate camera strap. These are perfect for men who think our camera straps are too "girly". We have been working with Leather for some time now with our dog collars but felt the Latigo leather was just way too stiff for a camera strap. We finally decided to take the time to research leather and found a perfect one. This leather is super strong but also soft and it has a nice distressed look to it. Please take the time to measure your pet! If you dont know what size collar to order, feel free to email us and we will offer suggestions. You can use a tailor's tape and wrap it around your dogs neck. Its a good idea to add a couple inches when ordering your collar. If you dog's neck measures 15 inches, you will want to order a size that would accommodate a 17 inch neck. Another thing to keep in mind is the width of the collar. A 1 inch wide collar will more than likely be too wide for a small breed dog. May I suggest folding a piece of paper or fabric to a 1 inch width and put that around your dogs neck to get a good idea of what width you will need. You can always measure the width of your current collar as well. All my collars are custom made when you order. I will begin charging additional fees for all exchanges unless it is a fault of ours. Please take the time to measure your pet or email us for advice to avoid these fees. The additional fees will be to cover materials, labor and shipping of the new item.

We should have the new website up and running in about a week. This has been a long process. Our original web designer fell through after working with her for months. You asked for it and we now offer it! Introducing the new leather collar with a quick release buckle. This collar only adjusts by a few inches so exact neck size is needed. I only make these in 3/4 inch wide and 1 inch wide. I can make tan, red or black and all have a nickel quick release buckle. I began making personalized raised pet food bowls. I am only selling these on my Etsy page until our new and improved website is launched. That should be by the end of Jan.
Elevated pet feeders promote healthy eating and reduce stress on the back and neck. It is also optimum for large dogs with joint problems. I custom make these to whatever height you need so be sure to measure you pet. I can put his/her name on the front and you can pick your stain color as well. Tinkle Bells - puppy potty training bells

We also make Tinkle bells and are offered through our website at fidosfashioncollars.com We used some pretty tacky bells while potty training our first dog. Although the bell training was a huge success, we really needed something prettier to hang on the door. Im rather embarassed about our first bell we made so I won't post a picture, but we've come a long way. We now make these lovely ribbon bells to hang on your door and your dog will tell you when they need to go "Tinkle".
We just hanged some bells on our backdoor and rang them everytime we took the dog out to tinkle. Before we knew it, he was ringing on his own. Don't go another day without these lovely bells.

Vikings and 49ers Dog Collars

I just added these two collars today to our website www.fidosfashioncollars.com We added the Vikings and the 49ers. They turned out real nice, I'm very happy with them. With the print and logos being so large a 1.5 inch wide collar provides the best view of the logo. We also added a firefighter themed collar, very cute and perfect the firefighter's pet. We had 4 orders today so that helped make up for the past two days with no orders.

Slow Day

Today was a slow day. We didn't get any orders today despite posting on craigslist and yahoo sponsor search. I need to get some collars made for the upcoming craft show but chose to take the day off anyway. We have been fairly busy making collars that we are way behind on our favorite TV shows and to be honest, some chores too.
I decided to just run some errands and take a couple pics of my babies sporting their custom collars. We were able to get out for a couple of walks today, lately it's just been one walk a day but I was happy to get out for two today. I like taking them to the school up the street. The kids love seeing them and it's good socialization for the dogs. It was a nice relaxing day but back to making collars tomorrow. I'll post what I make on here tomorrow.

We have our website up and running. Im not very good at web design but I gave it a shot. I think it's fairly simple to navigate around and overall just a basic design. I need to work on that part of it but for now it will do. We have 1 inch, 1.5 inch and 2 inch wide collars. We have No Buckle, Double Bar Buckle, Quick Release Buckle (plastic & nickel) & Martingales. We have matching leashes for most of our collars.
